Driving License Eligibility Details

• Age Requirement: 18 Years for Geared Two-Wheelers and light motor Vehicles(cars)
• 16 Years For Gearless two-Wheelers (below 50cc) with Perental/Guardian consent
• 20 years for commercial/Heavy motor vehicles.
• Learner's license(LL) :Applicants must first obtain a learner Driving license. Permanent Driving License can be applied after 30 days and within 180 Days from the date of issue of the learner's license.
• Medical Fitness:  A Medical certificate is mendatory for commercial vehicle applicants. Some age group also required to submit fitness certificate.
•  Knowledge of Traffic Rules: Applicants must have basic. knowledge of Traffic Rules-Signs,signals & road Safety rules.
• Residency: The Applicants should be a resident of Uttar-Pradesh or Provide a valid local address proof.
• Required Docemnts: Adhaar Card or Valid Identity Proof
• Adress proof

• Passport Size Photograph
• Learner Driving License(For Permanent Driving License)

How to Apply for UP Driving License

• Step 1: Check Driving license Minimum Age Limit-Verify the minimum Age for Driving License in India 2026 for Gearless two-wheelers, and 20 Year Minimum Age for commercial Vehicles.
• Step 2: Confirm Vehicle wise eligibility-Check the 4 Wheeler License age limit carefully. There is no Maximum Age limit for Applying  Driving Licesne in India, But a medical fitness Certificate may be required.
• Step 3: Apply  UP Learning License Online- Visit the Parivahan portal to UP Learning License Apply Online. A Learner license is mendatory before applying for a permanent License.
• Step 4: Book learner license Test- Book your learner license test and appear for the exam related to Traffic Rules and Road Safety.
• Step 5:  Complete 30 days Learner Period- Practice driving for at least 30 days after recieving the learner license, as required under indian traffic laws.
• Step 6: UP Driving license Apply Online -After completing the learner period, Proceed with Driving License Apply Online in UP through the Official Parivahan Website.
• Step 7:Book driving test Appointment-Select your Prefred RTO Office and Get a date for Driving Skill Test.
• Step 8: Appear for Driving Test- Visit the RTO Office on the secheduled date and time demonstrate your Diriving skill test using your Vehicle.
• Step 9: Track Driving License Application Status- Track your Application status Online using your Application number.
• Step 10: Receive Driving License- Once your Driving license Approved,Your Driving License will be delivered to your Registred Address by post.
